“National College and Kathmandu University Illuminate the Path of Psychological Education with the Inauguration of the Bachelor of Psychology Program”
Amidst great anticipation, today witnessed the resounding success of the launch event for the Bachelor of Psychology Program, a pioneering collaboration between National College and Kathmandu University. This historic milestone marks the first-ever comprehensive psychology course in Nepal, opening doors for aspiring students to immerse themselves in the captivating realm of psychology. We were honored to welcome esteemed guests, including Prof. Dr. Nandita Sharma, the Head of the Psychology Department at Tribhuvan University and former Chair of the Subject Committee, as well as Prof. Dr. Rita Shrestha, a distinguished senior psychologist and the current Chair of the Subject Committee for the Bachelor of Psychology Program.
This momentous occasion would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of the college administration. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman, Principal, Directors, Coordinators, and Officers, whose meticulous planning and tireless efforts ensured the seamless organization of this event. We are grateful to the visionary minds who played a pivotal role in structuring the course, including Dr. Suraj Shakya, an expert in clinical psychology, and Sujan Shrestha, a subject expert and former member of the Subject Committee. Kudos to Kripa Sigdel, the Coordinating Member of the Subject Committee, for her invaluable contributions.
We are honored to have had the presence of Dr. Nischal Nath Pandey, the Director of the Center of South Asian Studies (CSAS) and Chair of the South Asia Foundation, as a distinguished guest. Furthermore, we express our gratitude to Pradeepraj Pandey, the esteemed founder member of National College, and the esteemed faculty members, Dr. Gopal Gaire and J.B Hamal, for their invaluable support.
