National College was honored to feature Miss Bandana Adhikary in our Alumni Spotlight, where she shared her inspiring journey as a scholar and advocate for educational transformation in Nepal. A proud BDFin graduate from the class of 2017, Miss Adhikary reflected on how her time at National College shaped her academic and professional pursuits.
With the support of a Rotary Scholarship, she pursued a Master’s degree in Anthropology of Childhood, Youth, and Education at Brunel University in 2020/21. Currently, as a PhD candidate at Brunel, Miss Adhikary is making significant strides in her research on the Hidden Curriculum in the Nepalese Education System—a project with the potential to revolutionize education in Nepal.
Her passion for driving change goes beyond academia. As the founder of the NGO Transforming Education in Nepal, she is actively working toward innovative educational reforms, impacting lives across the country.
In her engaging presentation, Miss Adhikary emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary learning, adaptability, and commitment to creating meaningful change. She encouraged current students to explore their passions, take bold steps, and remain connected to their roots.
Beyond her professional achievements, Miss Adhikary’s love for dancing, painting, and storytelling inspires a balanced and enriched life. Her visit left the National College community motivated to pursue both academic and personal growth.
We are proud of Miss Adhikary and grateful for her continued contributions to society and the National College family!
