Admission & Eligibility Criteria

Entry Requirements: 

Applicants must have a 10+2 or equivalent degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 45% or minimum 2.0 GPA in aggregate with minimum D+ in all the subjects. For CBSE (India), minimum 45% in the aggregate marks. Similarly for Advanced Level, minimum Grade D in three subjects. Likewise for other streams, as per KU policy. Students must pass the KUSAAT examination. Applicants who have passed Class XI and are waiting for Class XII results can also apply for provisional admission. However, they will have to produce the proof of having passed the exam within 15 days of publication of the result.

Candidates waiting to improve grades in their non graded subjects (2 subjects ) can also apply and take provisional admission. However, they need to submit their make-up grades during the Kathmandu University registration process. Failing to do so will result in cancellation of provisional admissions.

Entrance Examination 

Students are required to give KUSAAT (Kathmandu University School of Arts’ Admission Test), the details of which are as follows:  KUSAAT is an entrance exam (Physical or Online)  conducted by KUSOA (Kathmandu University School of Arts) in cooperation with affiliated colleges and programs.

KUSAAT consists of 4 sections, GK, Math, English and Nepali followed by interview (Physical or Online)

After successfully passing KUSAAT, students will be eligible to get admissions into Bachelor in Development Studies (BDevS), Bachelor in Development Finance (BDFin) and Bachelor of Social Sciences (BoSS) in National College, Dhumbarahi

Scholarships

National College provides scholarship schemes under following categories:

KAS (Konrad Adenauer Foundation) Scholarships

A full scholarship provided by Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Regional Program, Political Dialogue Asia.

SAF Madanjeet Singh Scholarship

Under this scholarship, 8 students from SAARC countries are fully funded to study undergraduate courses at National College.

Semester-Topper Scholarship

50% semester fee waived for students scoring 4 GPA in each semester for each program, and 35% semester fee waived for one student from each program with highest Grade Point Average (GPA).

Needy and Diligent Scholarship

Every year 10% of total students are provided 33% semester fee waiver.

Special Category Scholarships

National College provides limited number of students a Special Category Scholarship in the semester fee. Such Special Category includes:  Students passed from Community Schools, students from Marginalized and Underprivileged groups and students from Geographically Remote areas of Nepal.
