21 Japanese students along with their professors from Waseda and Sacred Heart University from Japan, were welcomed at National College by the students and college officials. This year’s spring project was based on pilot surveys related to ‘availability of basic infrastructure’ and ‘perspectives on tourism’. Japanese students along with their counterpart students from National College carried out this survey in the valley as well as in Pokhara. While in Pokhara, they also conducted a school program on waste management at Shree Kalika Secondary School. From visits to organizations working for women skill development, to mountain museum, peace pagoda, and soaking in the cultural night with cultural performances were some of the highlights of the visit.
