BDFin is an interdisciplinary course that combines finance with management, research and development courses. With increasing need of finance to address global issues of poverty alleviation, economic growth, financial inclusion and climate change, the knowledge of development finance is must. BDFin enables students to use finance as a tool not just for earning profits, but also creating sound financial institutions, markets, institutions ensuring pro poor economic growth and sustainable society.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be equipped with necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes relating to finance, management, development and research. This interdisciplinary knowledge of finance will lead them to become compassionate bankers, ethical businessperson, sustainable entrepreneurs and above all agents of the change for economic growth, financial inclusion and poverty alleviation.
BDFin graduates have job opportunities in the financial sectors (banks and insurances), microfinance and cooperatives, enterprises development institutions and research institutions within governmental, non-governmental and private organizations. The BDFin program graduates are qualified for Masters in Development Finance, Master in Business Administration and Masters in various fields viz. Economics, Management and public policy and other courses related to finance, development and management.
