Since the collaboration between National College and Confucius Institute in Kathmandu University (CIKU) in 2013, learning Chinese and China has become integral part of BoSS.
As Principal's Delegates to visit People's Republic of China, senior staff from NC visit this highly misunderstood country and learn about its world class universities, famous cultural sites and wonderful people during their stay. In 2019 the delegates also took part in the Nepal-China Seminar for Economic and Cultural Exchange under the aegis of Hebei University of Economics and Business, Shijiazhuang, China. [photos]
However, the highlight was the visit to Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) now renamed Center for Language Education and Cooperation in Beijing.
Another annual China event we zealously look forward to is where our students from BoSS participate along with Chinese language students from across the world. Their stay in China is enriched by their interaction with local and foreign students and visit to famous Chinese landmarks and heritage sites like the Great Wall, Forbidden City among others. At the end of the program, they also have a cultural show and a graduation ceremony. [photos]
