Why National College?
The Kathmandu University Vice Chancellor’s Award (Gold Medal) is given to the bachelor level student who has the highest score among all the Bachelor degree’s programmes from all faculties of KU.
National College established in 1996 is a pioneer institution in South Asia offering under-graduate studies in development field.
We have been associated with Kathmandu University, one of the best universities for higher learning in Nepal since 1996. We are the only college offering courses on development studies, development finance and social sciences affiliated to Kathmandu University.

Through Confucius Institute in Kathmandu University (CIKU), 17 National College students so far got opportunity to visit China for education, learning and cultural exchange.

Being a SAF Scholar & student of Development Studies, I got detailed insights about national,
regional & global development scenarios. At National
College, I engaged actively in different activities apart from my academics through which I met my cofounders to start my venture – Offering Happiness.
With the foundation stone lain on the auspicious day of Ghatasthapana (September 25, 2014), construction of the college building is almost in its final stage as of today, with the remaining civil works of boundary wall and lift. The 7-storey building consists of spacious 14 classrooms of international standard equipped with audio-visuals and furniture. Similarly, the college has its auditorium of capacity 130 pax equipped with air-condition and audio-visuals, and also annexed with a service room as well as indoor parking. Along with a spacious library and computer lab, there are six major office rooms separated with staff-friendly partitions.
